Flying out this evening! It's been raining in Madrid but the forecast for the marathon on Sunday is a high of 19 degrees. Feeling excited but ready, as well as very encouraged by all the contributions so far.
Hello and thanks to everyone who visits over the weekend. I probably won't get to check in here tomorrow so I'll post again after the finish!

8 miles today in the heat - or the Irish version, anyway. I fly Friday, and it's all short runs from here on in.

Last two weeks! Madrid is in a fortnight. Finished my longest training run so far: 20 miles on Friday; 2 hrs, 56 minutes. My Achilles was quiet until mile 17, and the whole day was a success. Thanks to Tim and Cathal for the company!
This was followed by a well-deserved (imho!) rest for Easter.
